TVA’s Regional Energy Resource Council Meets in Knoxville

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. ― The Tennessee Valley Authority’s Regional Energy Resource Council will conduct a two-day public workshop on Tues., May 2 and Wed., May 3, 2017, in downtown Knoxville.

As part of the workshop, the public is invited to make comments during a public comment session on Wednesday from 9 to 10 a.m. EDT at the Holiday Inn Knoxville Downtown World’s Fair Site, 525 Henley Street, Knoxville, TN 37902. Anyone wishing to make comments should sign up at the hotel by 8:45 a.m. Wednesday.

The Regional Energy Resource Council, a 19-member group with representatives from across the Tennessee Valley, advises TVA on its decision making on the over-arching issues, and often competing objectives, of the various energy resources it operates. The panel will be discussing technology, research and development and other regional energy issues at its May meeting.

The will be held Tuesday from 8:30 to 11:45 a.m. EDT and Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to noon EDT.
