Latest Operating Information

NOTICE: In support of current state and federal COVID-19 health guidelines, TVA is temporarily discontinuing recreational releases on the Ocoee River starting April 4, 2020. This action aligns with closing access to all Tennessee State Parks and temporary shutdown of developed recreation sites in Cherokee National Forest. This action also aligns with suspension of commercial whitewater rafting on the Ocoee River until at least April 18. The health and safety of employees and the public is TVA’s top priority. For the most current and accurate information on COVID-19, contact your local health officials or visit the CDC website at www.cdc.gov.  For information, on closures at Tennessee State Parks and National Forest recreation areas, please visit  https://tnstateparks.com/about/keeping-visitors-healthy or https://www.fs.usda.gov/.

WARNING! Water release schedules can change without notice due to unanticipated weather changes or power system requirements. Large amounts of water could be discharged at any time. Use caution! Obey all posted safety regulations and precautions!  Vital safety information.
