30-Year Commercial Recreation Easement on Fort Loudoun Reservoir

Volunteer Landing – Fort Loudoun Reservoir – Knox County, Tennessee

TVA is considering a request to grant a 30-year term commercial recreation easement over approximately 10.9 acres of land on Fort Loudoun Reservoir at Tennessee River mile 647.5 (right bank), in Knox County, Tenn.  The city of Knoxville has requested TVA grant the easement to extend the term of its existing tenure for operation and maintenance of the waterfront park known as Volunteer Landing, which is also the home of the Calhoun’s on the River restaurant and the Star of Knoxville riverboat port.

TVA is interested in receiving comments regarding the action’s potential to affect the environment or historic properties, and to identify any other issues associated with this request. Any comments received, including names and addresses, will become part of the administrative record and will be available for public inspection. All written comments on this proposed action must be received on or before May 1, 2016.  Written comments may be mailed to the address below or e-mailed to nbmorris@tva.gov.
