With many years of experience serving the Tennessee Valley, our executives oversee all TVA strategy, policy and operations and are responsible for delivering TVA’s mission of service through affordable energy, environmental stewardship and economic development. William (Bill) D. Johnson

William (Bill) D. Johnson, President and CEO, leads TVA in providing safe, clean, affordable and reliable energy; environmental stewardship; and economic development for the Tennessee Valley. His deep expertise in utilities management and executive leadership spans many decades.

Janet Brewer

Janet Brewer, Senior Vice President and Chief Communications and Marketing Officer, leads a team responsible for strengthening TVA’s brand and reputation and executing integrated marketing communications programs to achieve business strategies.

Sue Collins

Sue Collins is Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for the Tennessee Valley Authority. Her team ensures TVA has a highly qualified, engaged and diverse workforce.

Joseph (Joe) P. Grimes

Joseph (Joe) P. Grimes currently serves as TVA’s Executive Vice President Generation. He has more than 35 years of experience in power plant management and has supported nuclear and fossil energy generation.

Sherry A. Quirk

Sherry Quirk, Executive Vice President and General Counsel, draws upon her extensive experience giving legal counsel to the energy sector in overseeing TVA's legal affairs. She serves as secretary to the board of directors, and is also our designated agency ethics official.

Michael D. Skaggs

Mike Skaggs, who has over 25 years of leadership experience in the utility industry—22 of those years at TVA—currently serves as Executive Vice President of Operations.

John M. Thomas III

John M. Thomas III, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, leads all of our financial services including risk management, financial planning and investor relations, in that latter role overseeing annual revenues of more than $11 billion.

Van M. Wardlaw

Van Wardlaw, Executive Vice President for External Relations, a TVA veteran with more than 35 years of diverse leadership experience, oversees our government relations, customer relations, economic development and stakeholder-relations efforts.
