TVA Board Public Listening Session Pilot

At its August 2018 meeting, the TVA Board announced that the next public listening session will be held on the day before its November Board meeting. The setup of this pilot listening session will be less formal than recent sessions. The changes are intended to allow Directors additional time to more fully consider the comments of the public and encourage people to come speak to the Board. The pilot listening session will take place on Nov. 13, 2018, in Tupelo, Miss. The session start time will be announced at a later time.

Any member of the public may attend the listening session. Registration of speakers at the public listening session is required, consistent with prior sessions. Speakers may begin to register around the time the Board meeting agenda is published prior to the meeting. For this pilot listening session, the Board requests that speakers register online by 5 p.m. ET on Nov. 12. Speakers may comment on any board agenda item or subject relevant to TVA’s operation or mission, but only preregistered speakers will be allowed to address Board members. The session will be recorded. Key topics from the listening session will be reported during the Board meeting on Nov. 14.
