College Partnerships

To help meet the education and training needs of TVA employees, TVA develops partnerships with academic institutions across the Tennessee Valley.

Some of those partnerships allow TVA to:

  • Award Continuing Education Units to employees who complete TVA courses.

  • Offer engineers and clerical or administrative employees academic courses that help them meet job requirements, and review courses that enable them to prepare for professional exams.

  • Provide coursework leading to academic degrees that are earned on the job site.

  • Work with educational institutions to change curricula in ways that meet TVA’s needs more effectively.
