Joe Hoagland

Joe Hoagland is TVA’s Designated Federal Officer for the Regional Resource Stewardship Council. He ensures that proper public notice is given of all Council meetings, represents TVA at those meetings and ensures that the minutes and other Council records are available to the public.

Hoagland serves as senior vice president of Policy & Oversight, responsible for communications, compliance and policy governance, energy efficiency and demand response, retail regulatory affairs, security and emergency management, dam safety governance, safety and health, environmental policy and regulatory affairs, and technology development.

Hoagland joined TVA in 1993. He earned a B.S. in Chemistry from Southern Utah University and a M.S. and Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Washington State University.
