Description

YMCA of Metropolitan Chattanooga, represented by William F. Wetzel, has requested that TVA modify its deed to remove private club development rights over a 45-acre tract. This would allow the property to be developed for residential use.

The property is located on Chickamauga Reservoir near Harrison Bay, off Glover Road in the Harrison Community, Hamilton County, Tennessee.

Currently, the tract is privately owned and is presently restricted by TVA’s Special Warranty Deed to prohibit uses other than recreation by a private club. This action would allow the property to be marketed for residential development.

TVA is interested in receiving comments on the potential of the proposed action to affect the environment or historic properties and in identifying any other issues associated with this proposal. These comments will be used in reaching a decision on the proposed action.
