Public NoticeTennessee Valley Authority October 27, 2006 Proposed actionConstruction of community boat slips, pier, and ramp, channel dredge, and bank stabilization LocationJagger Branch Mile 1.5 L, Tennessee River Mile 351.6 R , Guntersville Reservoir, Marshall County, Alabama DescriptionThe proposed work would consist of the construction of two fixed community boat slips, one fixed pier, and one concrete boat ramp, as well as channel dredging for boat access and bank stabilization with riprap. The proposed dredge would begin at subdivision Lot No. 7 and extend approximately 900 feet upstream toward the end of the cove. Dredging is also proposed for the area where the proposed boathouse facilities would be placed. The boat access channel will be dredged by a suction dredge and track hoe. The dredged material will be placed across the road from the dredge site on the east side of White Elephant Road. Proposed Community Boathouse No. 1 would have 24 slips and extend approximately 175 feet lakeward from the normal summer pool (NSP) Elevation 595.0. Proposed Community Boathouse No. 2 would have 20 slips and extend 150 feet lakeward from NSP. Both facilities would be approximately 66 feet wide with a 50 foot buffer between them. The bank along the shoreline from the boat slips to the pier would be stabilized with riprap for a length of approximately 200 linear feet.
