Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) Road Easement Request

Location

Chickamauga Reservoir, Tennessee River mile 517.0, Meigs County, Tenn.

Description

TVA received an easement request from TDOT. The property is located on Chickamauga Reservoir at Tennessee River mile 517 in Meigs County, Tenn. The existing single-lane road (State Route 30) at this location is currently under easement to TDOT. TDOT has requested an additional 2.11 acres from TVA to expand the roadway into a double-lane highway with shoulders, guardrails and improved drainage structures. TVA is interested in receiving comments on the potential for the proposed action to affect the environment or local historic properties, and to identify any other issues associated with this proposal. The comments will be used in reaching a decision on the proposed action.
