Marina improvements and campground development

Description
Caney Creek Marina LLC is requesting approval from TVA to dredge within its existing harbor limits and construct new resort amenities below the 750-foot contour. The proposed resort development includes a campground, multi-boat-slip facility, beach, pool, playground, restaurant, hookups for recreational vehicles, and expansion of harbor limits fronting the new development area. The applicant has easement rights over TVA land for recreational development purposes below the 750-foot contour.

The location is Watts Bar Reservoir, Caney Creek embayment, Roane County,Tennessee. Approving this request would allow dredging to improve the access to existing boat slips that parallels Roane County Highway 70 and installation of the proposed facilities associated with the new campground.

TVA is interested in receiving comments on the potential of the proposed action to affect the environment or historic properties and in identifying any other issues associated with this proposal. These comments will be used in reaching a decision concerning the proposed action.
