Location

Watts Bar Reservoir near the Caney Creek and Mill Creek Embayments in Roane County, Tennessee

Description

TVA is considering a request to grant a permanent easement over 1.9 acres of land on Watts Bar Reservoir near the Caney Creek and Mill Creek Embayments in Roane County, Tenn. TVA is seeking public comment as part of an environmental review prior to deciding on the easement.

The easement has been requested by Roane County Utilities for the purposes of installing buried sanitary sewer lines, an above-ground lift station, and a paved access road to serve a nearby residential community. The sewer lines on TVA land shall converge at a pump station and connect to the existing sanitary sewer system.

TVA is interested in receiving comments on the potential for the proposed action to affect the environment or historic properties and to identify any other issues associated with this proposal. The comments will be used to identify issues to be addressed in the environmental review for the proposed easement. Any comments received, including names and addresses, will become part of the administrative record and will be available for public inspection. All written comments on this proposed action must be received on or before June 13, 2012. Written comments may be mailed to the address below or emailed to mailto:awpatrick@tva.gov.
