TV News Series on TVA In-Home Energy Evaluation Program
Knoxville television station WBIR broadcast a series in February 2011 about TVA's In-Home Energy Efficiency program. Two local families allowed the station to tag along during their home energy audits and show how they improved their energy efficiency afterward. The series also included a segment on TVA renewable wind power contracts and a Newsmaker program on energy efficiency.
TVA home energy evaluations in the Knoxville area increased from four the week before the series aired to 61 the week after.
