Specially Called TVA Board Meeting Dec. 10

The TVA Board of Directors will hold a specially called public meeting on December 10, 2012, at TVA’s corporate headquarters in Knoxville, Tenn., 400 West Summit Hill Drive, Knoxville, Tenn., to consider the agenda items listed in the attached. 

As a contingency, the Board is taking action to address authorizations and delegations to enable the CEO to handle certain key business issues in the event the Board lacks a quorum because of vacancies. Three of the Board’s nine positions are vacant, and the terms of two other directors will end when the current session of Congress concludes. Five Board nominations are pending in the Senate.

A number of the TVA Board of Directors will join the meeting by teleconference. The meeting is estimated to last less than one hour and is open to the public. No public listening session is scheduled for this brief, special meeting.

TVA will provide a video internet stream and a broadcast quality satellite feed of the TVA Board meeting, which begins at 9:30 a.m. EST and the press conference, which will begin shortly after the conclusion of the meeting.
