TVA To Close One Lane Each Direction on Highway 153 Across Chickamauga Dam

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. -- Traffic on the four-lane Wilkes T. Thrasher Bridge on State Highway 153 across the Chickamauga Dam will be restricted to one lane in each direction Monday, Nov. 15, through Friday, Nov. 19, for routine bridge inspection.
The northbound and southbound lanes will be merged to one lane from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. EST at various times. In the event of bad weather, the inspection will be rescheduled.
Motorists should expect delays and may want to consider another route. TVA Police will be assisting with the lane closures.
