TVA retirees annual picnic is Sept. 10 at Guntersville, Ala., Civitan Park

GUNTERSVILLE, Ala. – The Tennessee Valley Authority will host its annual picnic for TVA retirees on Friday, Sept. 10, at the Guntersville Civitan Park in Guntersville, Ala.
The picnic begins at 10 a.m. CDT and is free to all TVA retirees and one guest each. Tickets for additional guests are $8.
To register for the picnic, retirees should call the TVA Retirees Association office toll-free at (877) 335-1222 or (865) 632-4323.
The Tennessee Valley Authority, a corporation owned by the U.S. government, provides electricity for 9 million people in parts of seven southeastern states at prices below the national average. TVA, which receives no taxpayer money and makes no profits, also provides flood control, navigation and land management for the Tennessee River system and assists utilities and state and local governments with economic development.
