Across TVA
Wrestling the Bear
From left, Wesley Jaynes, Doug Liles,
John Duncan, Gene Gibson and Scott Kramer are part of the TVA team working
on the Bear Creek Dam Rehabilitation Project. The project began in September
2007 with a goal of eliminating seepage through the existing earthen
dam. Nearly two years later, after 80,000 cubic yards of roller-compacted
concrete have been placed, the Bear Creek team is ready to stamp the
new 89-foot-tall structure complete.

New guests
at John Sevier
Bald eagles have been getting a lot of attention at John Sevier Fossil Plant the past few weeks. Employees spotted two adults (above) and one juvenile (below) along the access road to the plant the first of March. To better protect the birds, caution tape was placed on any entrances to the field that contains the tree and nest near Dodson Creek. At this time, evidence of eggs has not been detected.
