1,000 green homes in one year
That’s the goal of one Nashville real estate company. Mark Deutschmann, owner of Village Real Estate, would like to see that many homes make the Green Power Switch. He strives to build stronger urban communities in Nashville, and he sees green power as another way to achieve that goal. “We see this as just the beginning,” Deutschmann says. “All of our offices have been switched over, and we want our agents to do the same. Hopefully, this will build momentum and encourage others to sign up.” In addition to promoting green power, the company aims to reduce urban sprawl, reduce the number of vehicles commuting, and promote energy efficiency.
According to Deutschmann, transitioning to a new home is a great time to introduce Green Power Switch. Village agents share information about the program and the signup process with their clients. They also are giving gifts of green power to new home buyers.
Village Real Estate is a customer of Nashville Electric Service.
