A NARA Bulletin is guidance for Federal agencies from the National Archives and Records Administration concerning the data elements comprising GILS Core Records. The guidance is available at: http://www.archives.gov/records-mgmt/policy/gils.html.

OMB Bulletin No. 95-01 was issued under the authority of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and became effective on Dec. 7, 1995. This bulletin describes OMB and agency responsibilities, and includes definitions, specifications, implementation schedules, and information contacts.

Records and Information Managment is responsible for data collection and data entry. Information Services Applications Technology manages the development and implementation of GILS with the help of End User Computing Services.
