TVA Research Partners

Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI): TVA collaborates with EPRI in Nuclear, Power Delivery & Utilization, Generation and Environmental research areas.

Centre for Energy Advancement Through Technological Innovation (CEATI): TVA partners with CEATI in the Hydro, Transmission, Generation, Distribution and Customer research areas.

National Electric Energy Testing, Research and Application Center (NEETRAC): NEETRAC provides research and development in the areas of Transmission and Distribution.

National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA): The NRECA research arm, Cooperative Research Network (CRN) focuses on Distribution and Energy Utilization demonstrations, providing TVA with valuable insights in the rural cooperatives.

University Partnerships:  TVA also partners with universities  where valuable research contributes to issues that are of importance to TVA. For example TVA is a partner in CURENT, which is a National Science Foundation (NSF) Engineering Research Center lead by the University of Tennessee,  Knoxville and supported by both the NSF and Department of Energy (DOE)

DOE and National Labs:  TVA also has partnered in several projects with Oak Ridge National Labs (ORNL) and the Department of Energy (DOE).   To learn more about specific projects with ORNL, click here.
