West Pleasant Hill 161-kV Transmission Line
DeSoto County, Mississippi
This final Environmental Assessment addresses the proposal by Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) to serve the new West Pleasant Hill 161-kV Substation by building an approximately 4.2 mile, 161-kilovolt (kV) transmission line tap connection from the Freeport-Miller 161-kV Transmission Line to Northcentral Mississippi Electric Power Association’s planned substation.
TVA has reviewed the public comments regarding the proposal and evaluated the environmental data on alternative routes for the transmission line. Based on this, TVA has selected the Route 6 alternative as the preferred route.
