University of Tennessee Golf Practice Facility and Greenway

Knox County, Tennessee

On March 7, 2008, TVA issued a final environmental assessment and finding of no significant impact for a greenway and golf practice facility proposed by the University of Tennessee, Knox County, and the City of Knoxville. These facilities would be located adjacent to Fort Loudoun Reservoir, Tennessee River Miles 643.5 to 645.2, near Alcoa Highway.

The facilities require TVA land use licenses, a permit issued by TVA under Section 26a of the TVA Act, and permits issued by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers under Section 10 of the River and Harbor Act and Section 404 of the Clean Water Act. The Corps cooperated with TVA in the preparation of the environmental assessment.
