Two Rivers, LLC

Limestone County, Alabama

On February 12, 2007, TVA issued a Finding of No Significant Impact and a Section 26a permit for water use facilities proposed by Two Rivers, LLC on Wheeler Reservoir.

The Two Rivers project is located at Elk River mile 1.8 on Wheeler Reservoir, Limestone County, Alabama. The proposal involves construction of two 150-foot long day use boat docks and a sand beach, and stabilization of 1,775 feet of TVA fee-owned shoreline with riprap. As a part of its proposal, Two Rivers has agreed to implement a vegetation planting and management plan on the TVA land. The facilities would be used exclusively by the residents of a 61-unit condominium development on backlying private land.

The facilities also require approval by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and were the subject of a joint public notice issued by the Corps and TVA. In response to comments on the public notice, Two Rivers reduced the size of their proposed facility. TVA cooperated with the Corps in the preparation of an environmental assessment that addresses the potential impacts of the proposal, including issues raised in the public comments. TVA has adopted this environmental assessment. TVA also issued the Section 26a permit on February 12.
