Pigeon Falls Village Stream Modifications
Sevier County, Tennessee
On August 19, 2008, TVA issued a Finding of No Significant Impact for the construction of Pigeon Falls Village in Pigeon Forge, Sevier County, Tennessee. Pigeon Falls LLC proposes to develop an 85-acre commercial area that would include hotels, retail space, recreational attractions, a residential area, a parking garage, and a water feature.
The construction would result in the encapsulation of 3,347 linear feet of two unnamed tributaries to the West Prong Little Pigeon River. These stream modifications require approval by TVA under Section 26a of the TVA Act and approval by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers under Section 404 of the Clean Water Act. TVA cooperated with the Corps in the preparation of an environmental assessment of the proposed action. TVA has adopted this environmental assessment.
