Kingston Riverboat Dock

On March 8, 2006, TVA issued a Finding of No Significant Impact to adopt a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ environmental assessment to construct a commercial dock at Clinch River Mile 0.7 (left bank) on Watts Bar Reservoir in Roane County, Tennessee. A Section 26a permit was requested by the Watts Bar Riverboat Co. to provide a dock for a base and public access to an excursion riverboat (Watts Bar Belle). Under the preferred alternative, construction of the commercial dock facility would extend lakeward 190 feet from the normal summer pool level and be located at least 50 feet downstream of an existing public launching ramp, it would also include a gift shop and sewage pump-out facility.
