Franklin County Water Service Authority

Bear Creek Reservoir, Franklin County, Alabama

TVA has prepared a Final Environmental Assessment and has issued a finding of no significant impact for a proposed water intake, water treatment plant, and distribution lines on the Tennessee Valley Authority’s Bear Creek Reservoir.

The Franklin County Water Service Authority (FCWSA) proposes to construct this project to meet their long-range objectives to create a regional potable water supply system and to provide a safe, adequate, and dependable source of water.  This project would interconnect the FCWSA’s system to the distribution systems of Hodges, Vina, Red Bay, Russellville, and Phil Campbell in Franklin County.
