Final environmental assessment

Summary

TVA has prepared an environmental assessment of the proposed Columbus-DeKalb 161-kV Transmission Line  Tap to Paulette.  TVA would construct approximately 8.0 miles of new 161-kV transmission line on new right-of-way 100 feet in width in Noxubee County, Mississippi.

Finding of No Significant Impact (172 kb)
Based on the final EA, TVA issued a finding of no significant impact (FONSI) on December 4, 2003.  This document explains TVA’s decision to tap the Columbus-DeKalb 161-kV Transmission Line and construct a 161-kV transmission line to Four County EPA’s new Paulette Substation. As stated in the FONSI, we conclude that the proposed action will not have a significant impact on the quality of the environment. The entire FONSI can be viewed here.
