161-kV Substation and Transmission Line

Summary

TVA proposes to construct a new 161-kV substation and a 3.2 mile 161-kV transmission line connecting the new substation to TVA’s West Point-Lowndes 161-kV transmission line.  The new substation and transmission line would serve Columbus Air Force Base and nearby areas of 4-County Electric Power Association’s distribution network.  TVA issued an Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact for this project on September 14, 2005.
