Bridgeport Alabama Power Supply Upgrade

Jackson County, Tennessee

On February 21, 2008, TVA issued a final environmental assessment and finding of no significant impact for 4.8-mile, 161-kV transmission line TVA proposes to construct and operate near Bridgeport, Alabama. The transmission line would provide an alternate supply of electric power to industries in the Bridgeport area and run from TVA’s existing Widows Creek-Winchester 161-kV transmission line to TVA’s existing Beaulieu #2 substation. The transmission line would occupy 58 acres of new right-of-way 100 feet wide. Most transmission structures would be single steel poles.
