The Bluffs Community Docks

Boone Reservoir, Sullivan County, Tennessee

On October 14, 2008, TVA completed its final environmental assessment (EA) and issued a finding of no significant impact on the RPT Partnership LLC (RPT) proposed waterfront improvements on Boone Reservoir. TVA and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) prepared this EA evaluating the effects of permitting, constructing, and operating three sets of community boat slips along the right-descending bank of Boone Reservoir at Watauga River Mile 7.2. The EA also evaluates the effects of the applicant’s proposed shoreline stabilization and an associated golf cart path to allow access to the boat slips and shoreline from the adjacent planned residential subdivision.

The boat slips, stabilization, and associated shoreline improvements require approval by TVA under Section 26a of the TVA Act and by the USACE under Section 10 of the River and Harbors Act and Section 404 of the Clean Water Act.
