Bear Creek Reservoirs Land Management PlanWe appreciate your interest in the Bear Creek Reservoirs Land Management Plan (Plan). In early 1999, the general public, state and federal officials, and various special interest groups were informed of the land planning effort and invited to participate in the planning process. TVA specialists used this public input, resource data, and their professional knowledge about the reservoirs to develop draft allocations for the various parcels of reservoir land. TVA issued its environmental decision document, a finding of no significant impact (FONSI), on March 15, 2001. On March 28, 2001, the TVA Board of Directors approved the proposed plan. The Plan seeks to integrate land and water resources, provide for the optimum public benefit, and balance competing and sometimes conflicting resource uses.
