Environmental Impact Index 2005
As part of its Environmental Management System, TVA has established a set of indicators to assess and manage the beneficial and detrimental effects of its activities on air, water, land, energy use, and waste production. These indicators enable TVA to measure its progress and set targets for future improvement. A subset of these indicators is used to form the Environmental Impact Index (EII), which gives a snapshot of TVA’s overall environmental performance as measured against a baseline of fiscal year 2002.
The following graphs show targets for future years as calculated in 2005. See links below the graphs for target figures revised in 2006.
