Kimberly S. Greene

Executive Vice President and Chief Generation Officer

Kimberly (Kim) Scheibe Greene is TVA's executive vice president and chief generation officer. She's responsible for Coal Operations, Gas Operations, River Operations & Renewables, Generation Construction, Power Supply & Fuels, and Engineering, Environmental & Support Services.

Prior to her current appointment, Greene was group president for Strategy & External Relations, leading several organizations responsible for TVA's strategic planning and external outreach.

Previously, Greene served as TVA's chief financial officer, executive vice president of Financial Services and chief risk officer. Her responsibilities included managing TVA's financial resources and policies and implementing effective enterprise risk management identification and mitigation processes.

Greene came to TVA in 2007 from Southern Company where she was senior vice president of finance and treasurer. She began her career at Southern Company Services in 1991 and progressed through various areas of engineering, strategy and leadership. She moved to Southern Energy Inc. in 1994, now GenOn, and was responsible for structuring and asset management. In 2002, she moved to Southern Company Generation and Energy Marketing as director of portfolio management and was named treasurer of Southern Company Services in 2003.

A native of Knoxville, Tenn, Greene earned a bachelor's degree in engineering science and mechanics from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She earned a master's degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a master's in business administration from Samford University in Birmingham. In 2011, Greene completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.

Greene serves as a member of the advisory boards for the UT College of Engineering and the UT Department of Finance. She also serves on the boards of the UAB Master of Engineering program and the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI). Greene is a member of the Tennessee Women's Forum and Executive Women in Energy. She also serves on the boards of the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra, Knoxville Chamber and Covenant Health.

She and her husband, Ted, have two daughters and live in Knoxville.
